last night's WALKING DEAD episode-10-25-15 NOT GLEN!! don't kill Glen!! or so it appears to be the case, at this time.......NOOOOOOO!!!

i have never breathed a word about anything while it's on, out of courtesy & quite frankly i'm sick of it & think it's stupid. i will never have been able to talk about anything in type or on a site while it's airing? that's not fair.
here goes: i cannot believe they killed Glen! omg!! i was SO upset, so shocked, so pissed, so upset (again). man oh man. i knew that idiot (can't remember his name) that was always fucking things up, that alexandria guy that caused glen's death, was losing it & gonna do something lame from the beginning of the episode but i strongly HOPED that he was only going to get himself killed & maybe some others i don't care about or know. but nooooo! he had to be a jackass even in death. damn him! besides the foreshadowing w/him, the glen stuff w/maggie was foreshadowing, but i refused to believe it. AND when jackass shot himself in the head & glen fell w/him, i was like "wait, the dipshit fell on TOP of glen, so he can get out there's a way!" but no, he was NOT on top of glen when they landed, in fact, i have no clue where he was, they didn't show him. but glen's chest looked so bulky (fx), that i convinced myself that it WAS the dick getting eaten & he was on top of glen, but then when u saw his intestines coming out & the HUGE flow of blood & him screaming, all was lost.
then i was like "wait, he hit his head really hard when he fell, this isn't happening, he's trippin'" OR the great "it's only a dream"......& he wasn't on the "talking dead" as has been the habit generally. NOR did they have a package w/him talking about it, so hmmmm? plus what the producer or whomever said to the host about glen being back in some form or another, but dammit! WHY???!!! i know people have to die, it's the nature of the show & the world, but nooooooooo!
i guess i can rest assured that they will never kill rick or daryl, or michonne, they'd better not! they kinda can't, til the end anyway, then i can block it out if they do. ;) so sad.
RIP glen or better yet: STILL BE ALIVE!!! :(
UPDATE: YEP, DAMMIT, THEY KILLED GLEN!!!! oh wait, i already said that above......i saw a sentence or so saying oh wait!!! this was the time it APPEARED THAT GLEN WAS DEAD CAUSE OF THAT JACKASS standing w/him on top of the dumpster shooting himself & taking Glen down w/him okay i KNEW he could'nt be dead then. NOW i am referring to when they ACTUALLY killed Glen!! Neegan & his stupid bat: Lucille. is that how u spell his name? i own all the graphic novels/comics but chose not to read any of them cause what's his face who wrote them is going to stick w/them as much as he possibly can. so it's gonna ruin the show for me if i read them. i read a bit many seasons back. can't do it. don't want to.
though in general i WILL read the book before a movie is made (before the rights are even sold to make a movie), but i cannot read a book AFTER i've seen the movie, because i have no interest, i know what happens it's ruined for me to all intents & purposes. whereas if i've read it before, i'm super excited (usually) to see the film & if they did the story justice. esp. if it's a great story. it can ruin the film for me a bit, but c'est la vie. totally went into another topic but again, c'est la vie. besides aren't i just talking/typing to myself here? yeah i think so.

ASSHOLES THAT FEEL ENTITLED TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT, BECAUSE THE WORLD IS THEIR OYSTER FOR SOME REASON.......

(the 2nd part is about the ASSHOLE, was just rambling prior to that...)i had SUCH the shitty night. i slept a whopping hour & some change. i could NOT go to/stay asleep. probably didn't help that before i went to sleep i watched a movie about these 2 girls murdering ANY guy who had wronged them, though 1 of them decided to murder any guy period (kinda aileen wournos' ish). though i've never been one to have nightmares from movies, i have nightmares constantly in general. i think it was because of allergies, i couldn't breathe thru my nose. was miserable!
HERE WE GO: THE ASSHOLE!!
oh THEN or prior, yesterday am, i park in a parking garage in my building right? so some idiot was moving shit in or out, but wasn't moving moving, & was parked in FRONT of the gate, in his huge truck, the only way in or out & ASLEEP!!! i had to leave, was in a hurry. so i honked at him (the language of MOVE) & he woke up & remained sitting there, staring at me. FOREVER! was never going to move! so i honked more & started waving frantically, like MOVE! wtf? finally he decided "hey wait, now i can get INTO the garage!" (not realizing, i'm sure that he needed an opener to leave at some point). so he makes me TOTALLY late, i was irritated, then when i finally return, hours later, & i had already told myself (what do u wanna bet he's parked in MY spot, out of ALL of the friggin' spots?) sure enough. when i get home he's IN MY SPOT! there's nothing to do. this is a HUGE building. so i sat there & honked forever, i was SO pissed, i literally kept picturing myself picking up his truck w/my bare hands & throwing it out of my space. then i hike all over the building looking for his dumb ass, as i was thinking "call the cops, auto club, SOMEBODY to tow his car!". finally an hr later i happen upon his friend or who's w/him & he's totally apologetic & keeps trying to call the guy, BUT we get no signal in the garage. he didn't tell me that, but he wasn't reaching the guy & i KNOW there's no signal there, which is why i hadn't called anyone to tow him yet but i was working on it. i yelled at him for awhile, but he was really nice.
FINALLY dickhead, space stealer shows up, taking his sweet time & i was screaming epithets at him. well not screaming but speaking loudly. i was like wtf dude? u can NOT park in people's spots & i'm supposed to sit here for an hr & search the whole fucking building looking for ur ass. he gives me a "soooorrryy" like it was MY fault & takes his sweet time. i was SO PISSED!! THEN he purposely goes the way that almost hits & sideswipes my car, purposely, to be a douche! (oh i LOVE those kind of people. who think everything in the world is ANYONE'S fault but their own, even when faced w/proof that it IS their own!)as i'm waving "go the other way". my only solace was that i bet u anything that he assumed that going OUT of the garage, his truck would automatically trip & open the garage, that it would open for anyone leaving. NOPE BUDDY! not the case. so i hope his karma left him stuck in the garage for HOURS MORE!!

THIS IS A GIVEN..... I WAS GOING TO SAY THEY ARE LIARS (THAT IS IF YOU GET A REPLY AT ALL, THE ONLY REASON I DID, IS BECAUSE AMAZON WAS EMAILING THE SAME TIMES I WAS, AS I NOTIFIED THEM, SO THEY WERE PRETENDING TO HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE THEY KNEW AMAZON WAS WATCHING THEM), BUT I GUESS IF YOU ARE A GROUP OF CONS & THIEVES, IT'S A GIVEN THAT YOU ARE A LIAR AS WELL, HAHA. Hello my lieblings! how is everyone? what is everyone up to? what are you all reading? gonna read? read before? let's hear it!
i myself, oh god, what all have i read? oh i've been in autobiography mode for awhile now, though it's now getting on my nerves. I re-read "every secret thing" by patty hearst (read it as a kid, wanted to re-read it, so i bought it again), about her kidnapping by the SLA. THEN i moved onto reading 2 of linda lovelace's books. "ordeal" about the abusive asshole she was a prisoner of for yrs that FORCED her to make "deep throat" & then her book she wrote yrs after that, umm, can't think of the title right now. it's similar to ordeal. the title & the book. but about her life after. u know what doesn't make sense to me? she was with an UBER abusive man, chuck traynor & then the next man she was w/after him shockingly (sarcasm) turned out to be abusive. gasp! so the guy she's talking about now that she married & had kids with, how could he NOT be abusive? u have a pattern & if you've done nothing to change the pattern (which she hadn't) then why would she suddenly draw a non-abusive man? and abusive men also pray upon these women, they can spot them. the ones who have bee abused before OR those that are so sweet & naive that they wouldn't spot nor be looking for red flags showing a man to be abusive, though those red flags would show up. but if it's the sweet/naive scenario, then the girl/woman will usually brush such signs under the rug (as EVERYONE has done many times w/relationships of all types) & think it was just an aberration. even something as full out & scary as them suddenly hauling off and punching them in the face. they will think it was a one time slip & usually the guy will do all in his power to convince them that it was a one time slip & that they have NEVER done anything like that & never will again. and you are "in love" so you want to believe that right? not me. a one time "aberration" is all it takes. because there's ALWAYS more where that came from. a man isn't just randomly abusive once in his life! just doesn't happen. it's in him. it's his M.O., who he is.
anyway, got sidetracked, but my point was...i would bet money that linda lovelace's husband was abusive! she says in the book (so far) that he has a really "bad temper" but it's not aimed towards her. hmmm. i doubt that.
I HAVE (oops caps) sooooooo much more to say on this topic, so i shall return to it at some point or write another blog about it. such a huge subject, something i'm very passionate about. about STOPPING, about EXPOSING! about stopping women thinking that they deserve such treatment, (because that is flat out what they think if they are staying & putting up w/it, actions speak FAR louder than words), or that they deserve to be disrespected EVER, in ANY way at all in life! or by a man/a relationship! or that they can't "do any better", because one thing that abusers specialize in (oh but they specialize in SO many fucked up things, i should make a list...), is "loving" the woman soooo much, they HAVE to keep them to themselves, so they tell them that they are SO horrible that no other man would ever want them! that they are lucky that THEY indeed want them! bastards!
* I guess i didn't really talk about patty hearst much, but i can. big time. ah, another time. have to run.....:)

This is me again, damn i'm in their font that i copied the email here for. anyway, nothing pisses me off MORE than LIARS, con artists, people who specialize in ripping others off, scammers, u name it. it makes my blood boil!

okay folks, if anyone reads this stuff....last year alone IN the u.s. there were OVER 15.1 MILLION beauty procedures (i.e. facelifts, any plastic surgery, botox, etc) done, totaling OVER ELEVEN BILLION DOLLARS!!! & of course teens are all up in that stuff too. that always shocks me, teenagers getting boobs (which i get w/the pressure over looks), but botox, fillers & all of that in ur teens & 20's?? WHYYYYYYYY??? and they don't end up looking younger, they just end up looking weirder (in many cases. i was just watching this like 22 yr old girl who's had TONS of surgery getting more botox, more restilan  (sp?), she was pointing out her nasal labial fold "wrinkles", WHAT? our faces are SUPPOSED TO MOVE! and she did NOT have smile lines. her face is a frozen mask & she no longer looks 22, she looks like a well preserved 40 or so. creepy! it is that farrah abraham chick, from MTV's "teen mom"? i had never seen her, heard of her, nothing, just this random face deal but from the first moment i saw her, i could 100% tell that she had had TONS of work done on her face, big, huge, fake teeth, her boobs, maybe more of her body & i wondered why! then they showed what she USED to look like and she was a perfectly attractive looking, even quite stunning young woman! i don't get it! she looked waaaay better before and waaaay younger! apparently she has made some porn too? that she calls "sex tapes" that were "leaked", the whole pretend paris hilton, kim kardashian route, but hers ARE actual porn! there is a camera man, lighting, it's pro film. crazy. crazy how "FAME" has become a grab bag of things that one should NOT be famous for.) & even older. what happened to people being beautiful/attractive AS is?! but more importantly, don't u think that 11 BILLION PLUS could go to soooo many better causes. there are too many to count, but for starters: homeless people, starving people, people who's lives & possessions are GONE due to natural disasters, NEEDY CHILDREN, abused women & children. people w/horrible diseases that don't have insurance OR their insurance won't cover their illness, like a bone marrow transplant which the ins. co. will say is "not a necessary or proven procedure". wtf? anyway, i can find 11 billion places that that $ can go to....what say you?
seriously, can we stop being SO self obsessed? can we as a culture stop being SO obsessed w/youth & beauty? probably not. it will probably get worse, not better. in the near future, we will probably start shipping off old people to a deserted island or killing them off because they aren't "pleasant or attractive" enough to look at".
does it even MATTER anymore what someone has & is underneath the exterior look?? how beautiful (and youthful) they are there? how many great qualities they have & things to offer others? things to be admired and looked up to for? it doesn't seem to matter, as long as the package looks good, it's all golden right?

LES MISERABLES REVIEW (so after the fact, as I saw it in the theater opening night)

I saved it but never posted it, I was on amazon i think & saw some reviews dissing the actors or whatever & so i wrote this addressing them. Had I been writing a "real" movie review, it would be much more concise, in depth, touch on the whole story, at the very least, but unfortunately that's not what I did here. As if anyone is reading any of my posts/blogs anyway right? :P 

And I'm actually going to write a REAL film review for once! Normally I will just give my opinion on a film, maybe touch on the characters, in regards to what I thought, etc. but I never really do a synopsis of a film. I respected Roger Ebert a great deal (we almost always agreed on films & had the same thoughts! since i was a little kid), BUT sometimes it has been off-putting for me to read a review of his prior to seeing a film, as he would expound on the ENTIRE story & obviously that can ruin the film for you to varying degrees. I finally started just looking at how many stars he gave a film & maybe read the first paragraph, then waited to read his entire review until after I saw a film. SO much better that way! 

First, let me start by addressing (or commenting) on the people dissing the actors, their singing abilities, etc.

the singing/the songs, AS written originally for the play, if you think about it, is NOT supposed to be about who can sing the best, how pretty can they make the song.

that is the last consideration really. if you want HONESTY in your films (or even stage) musicals that is, and that is what THIS "les miserables" is about. for starters, they are singing LIVE, take after take after take, WHILE they are acting, and the acting takes precedence, in my opinion anyway. the story, the characters, what they make you FEEL, is a million times more important than "oh i don't know if they sang that song to perfection". gimme a break you naysayers. yes, films are about escapism, and suspending not only your disbelief, but your reality as well, though this film is STEEPED in reality....that reality being the human condition, which we ALL can (or should) be able to relate to.

so instead of having gone into the studio months and months prior to filming, before the actors even ACTED the roles, they have to then decide and TOTALLY commit to how they are going to perform the role and are stuck to it regardless of what happens, because they laid it down in the studio, so the die is cast.

would YOU want to do that as an actor? make all of your acting choices before you even got on the set? before you even became the role? before you even interacted (and acted) w/your fellow actors?

people are too used to the "perfect", prettied up musicals. i myself have always loved musicals, the great ones, that is, but i always did find it cheesy that there was perfect playback that they were lip synching along too and how they are walking down the street and suddenly break into song and everyone else joins in and happens to know the song and the dance routine. c'mon, that IS cheesy, and totally unrealistic. maybe i prefer realism more than most. so while i overlooked that w/my much beloved musicals, i still always struck a false note (no pun) w/me. "Chicago" did a great job (the film), because the director came up with a way for it NOT to be cheesy, he made it imaginations of Roxy Hart and that brought up the level of "Chicago"'s greatness even higher.

Also people have mentioned the quality of the actors singing voices. They ALL (w/the exception of Russell Crowe in my opinion), have AMAZING voices, and as a singer and musician myself, I know what I speak of. Russell's is passable and that's about it in my opinion, but Anne, Hugh, Eddie, Samantha, Amanda all have fantastic, amazing voices, especially Sam, Anne, Eddie and Amanda, they could be professional singers in a hot second if they so desired.

Okay enough about the naysayers and the disappointed. Les Miserables is a BEAUTIFUL, sad, moving, amazing, hopeful, cinematically (ok amazon, i'm spelling it correctly, not sure why the underlining) stunning and beautifully produced film, bottom line, no bones about it. Tom Hooper took on a close to impossible task in his undertaking of this much loved, MUCH seen story.

It is also considered to be THE best musical EVER written!! ever!! Based on Victor Hugo's novel written in 1862, or first published in 1862, i have it on my kindle & am reading it at the moment, along w/a few other novels i have going. 

Well okay, I'm gonna do it anyway, I'm going to give a synopsis while I'm here posting this.....

"Les Miserables", French literature at it's finest, written, as aforementioned, by Victor Hugo (who also wrote "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (1831), for those of you that are familiar w/at least the film versions of that story as well), it IS considered to be one of the greatest novels of the 19th century!) is a story based on the lives of a few particular people: Jean Valjean, Fantine, Inspector Javert, Cosette, Marius, and Eponine. The lesser characters that still have a fair amount of screen time are: Enjolras, the Thenardiers (Eponine's parents & Cosette's caretakers for most of her early life), & countless additional characters for the time, the setting, the Revolutionaries: the young men wanting to change France & change the lives of the people of France, putting an end to the suffering & starvation that was rampant. The poor & wretched, whom are everywhere in this film & in history of course. As a matter of fact, Les Miserables can be translated into a number of words/meanings. Literally the translation is: "the miserable" or "the miserable ones", but it's also been translated as: "the wretched", "the poor ones", "the wretched poor", "the victims", "the dispossessed", according to how poor the translation from the original french was. 

oh dammit, i don't have time to finish this, so i'm going to post it now & perhaps come back later & finish my "official review" of the film, which i was finally attempting to do.

My review of OLAY TOTAL EFFECTS 7 in 1 Anti-aging moisturizer....

I would agree w/the post below this. As a Esthetician/Makeup Artist/Cosmetologist, it IS nice to be able to use just one product instead of a handful. And being an expert on skin, skin care & products myself & having tried almost everything under the sun, I DO agree that Olay Total Effects is a pretty great moisturizer, and it is just one step, which is fabulous!!
No more first putting on your anti-aging/rejuvenating serum, then your eye cream, then perhaps another treatment cream, THEN finally topping it all off w/your moisturizer, to feel that you are getting all of the effects (no pun) and benefits that you want & require.
So, to get down to brass tax...... you know that w/products in general, they are all basically the same, some have differing or additional ingredients that MAY work a tiny bit better, smell a bit better or more luxurious, have a better, fancier package that makes you feel decadent, or that you are getting a much more effective product, because if it costs a fortune, it's got to be great right? Or even no smell at all, which has been the huge trend for awhile now, as fragrances can mess with sensitive skin, or people find them objectible, but what you are REALLY paying for is the BRAND, the label!! The "status" of the company, who their demographic is, meaning rich or not rich.
Of course there is always the "newest, latest, most cutting edge technology" or some newly discovered ingredient that becomes the MUST have & that every product sooner or later ends up putting into their product, following the leader. Hello grape seed oil, lipids, vitamin C, retinol, retinoids, emu oil (which i've been using for YEARS), all kinds of "free-radical" fighting antioxidant ingredients. There is always a new "discovery" for such things. The latest are things like: rhamnose, glycans (which is thought to be an offshoot of glycolic acid which IS good for your skin, but usually in medical strength, like when you're getting a glycolic peel), well you get the point.
A shampoo is a shampoo, you are simply paying 400% more for a name & that is all. They all have cleansing agents & the usual ingredients.  Point being that a skin cream is a skin cream, some are superior to others in miniscule ways, but no one has any miracles to offer, regardless of what they claim. It is the mere fact of taking CARE of your skin & moisturizing, cleansing, exfoliating, etc. etc., regularly, that alone keeps you ahead of the game.
It's like oiling & caring for a leather bag or pair of shoes, for example, or even keeping your lips moisturized, (I could go on for DAYS about that topic! And how my lips have remained young, moist & perfect always, because of my addiction to KEEPING my lips moisturized w/emollients 24/7, & that's only for starters!), you are preventing it that much more from becoming cracked, dry. That alone will keep your skin younger! Keeping it moisturized.
Olay IS a good product, it does have the 7 needs covered & it DOES do what it claims to do (again, no miracles here, but skin care-taking), but that is all you need right? A product that covers it's claims and keeps your skin soft, supple and moist. Those 3 things are the signs of a "healthy skin": a soft, supple & moist texture. That is what you always want to strive for.
Also, I give it added points for being SO reasonably priced!! You are NOT going to get better results (except maybe in your head) from a Creme de la Mer that retails for $300 and such, or a Chanel that is just about as pricey, or a Guinot (ditto on the price), though i do have to say that some of those pricier creams MAY have a better consistency/texture, smell, as they have more than plentiful the funds to add slightly more expensive ingredients & for much more extensive & expensive advertising & packaging. Again, though, you are simply looking for results, regardless of the product or the price.
So in essence, in a long winded way, I have just expounded on the fact that the Olay Total Effects IS a good moisturizer and it does the job you need it to do, WITH an affordable price! In fact, I will state that ALL of the Olay products are quite great & they have been for years & years.
I remember as a little girl, and growing up, always watching my Grandmother go through her beauty routine & in all of those years, she ALWAYS used Oil of Olay, the basic & only moisturizer that they had at the time. It had a really great smell *kind of like roses & a really great feel as well, & my Grandmother always looked years & years, decades even, younger than her age & I credit a huge amount of that to Olay! I always followed her lead & moisturized with Oil of Olay as a young child, later a teenager, & so on. I firmly believe, or even KNOW that that is why I always have had great, wonderful & amazing skin! Because of the product, but more so, always having taken excellent care of my skin.
So kudos to Olay for doing such a great job & not making you break the bank.
